Ewing (Ewing's Landing)

Originally a steamboat landing on the Missouri River located at Latitude 38.55460 North, Longitude 92.06536 West on the lands of Robert A. Ewing. Following the completion of the Pacific Railroad to Jefferson City and the ensuing collapse of the Lower Missouri River Packet services the community moved inland, centered on a site near the railroad. Ewing was never platted and little more is known about the community.
Ewing was located on the Missouri River between Jefferson City and Osage City. (--Sectional Map of Mo., 1894, Rand, McNally.)
